Why I Do This Work
Photography is a form of listening. It's a way to slow down, notice deeply, and honor the details—whether it’s the light catching your hair, the textures of your work environment, or the way your kid tucks their face into your shoulder. These are the images that stay with us. They’re the ones worth preserving.
As a Maine branding photographer, I’ve found that the most powerful images are built on intention. My job is to help you feel seen, and to reflect back the story you’re already living—with honesty, warmth, and artistry.
Let’s Connect
I’m based in Freeport, Maine and work across the Midcoast and Southern Maine region—from Portland to Brunswick, Peaks Island to Pemaquid. If you’re looking for a Maine branding photographer who blends natural light with natural connection, I’d love to hear your story.
About Maine Lens
At Maine Lens, photography is about more than pictures—it’s about presence, story, and connection. As a Maine branding photographer, I approach every session—whether it’s for a business, a wedding, or a family—with curiosity, care, and an eye for what makes you uniquely you.
I’m Ned: a photographer, multimedia artist, and longtime storyteller. I grew up in New York City, where creativity wasn’t always seen as a practical path—but it’s always been a part of me. From winning art awards as a kid to photographing brands, couples, and families across Maine today, I’ve followed that creative thread through every chapter of my life.
A Human-Centered Approach to Photography
Whether I’m working with a small business owner or a parent chasing their toddler along the shoreline, my approach is rooted in collaboration and care. As a Maine branding photographer, I believe great photos don’t just capture what you look like—they reflect who you are and what matters to you.
I want you to feel at ease in front of the camera. That’s why I bring a calm, grounded presence to every shoot, and why I value trust and real connection over stiff poses or surface-level styling.
